As proud members of the SAPPFG (South African Professional Picture Framers Guild), we ensure consistant quality and workmanship. Our expertise includes museum- and preservation-quality framing. Our frame corners are precision cut, glued with the appropriate adhesive, and then V-nailed using stainless steel wedges for strength. Every frame is assembled by hand and finished on the premises by skilled craftsmen and women.
A good frame enhances and highlights the artwork without drawing attention to the frame. See examples of our custom frames.
Our range of finest natural and synthetic mouldings is sourced from only reputable suppliers who share our concern for sustainable and responsible use of our Earth's resources. Quality and availability are also thus ensured.
We only use Fome-cor backing boards, a moisture-resistant barrier against harmful humidity. All frames are sealed against foreign objects and insects, and are ready-to-hang with appropriate quality hanging hardware (foldbacks or aluminium hangers depending on the size and weight of the framed picture). All artwork is mounted using materials are acid-free or acid-buffered (pH neutral) which prevents acid damage to the artwork.
The proper mounting of pastel artwork is assured irrespective of whether fixative was used or not!
All workmanship carries a three-year guarantee, and five years in the case of museum- and preservation-mounting and -framing.

Personal attention for every client ensures a perfectly framed picture.
You would be surprised by some of the items we have box-framed; ranging from pairs of old boots, doileys, masks, medals, coins, musical instruments, clocks, sea shells, sports memorabilia, dolls, plates, spectacles, to babies' booties and christening robes. Even a plait of human hair and a broken piece of a favourite crystal vase. We also make clocks with original artwork faces by Amanda du Plessis. See examples of our box & 3D frames.

We use only Crescent and Premier (acid-buffered or pH-neutral) boards on your artworks. This ensures that the artwork is protected from harmful acids present in substandard boards like cardboard and paper that react with acids in the art paper creating discoloration and degradation. It is an inexpensive way of presenting and protecting artwork for resale. Presentation mounts are also very easily transportable being a lot lighter and less breakable than framed works. Originals are never glued to the backing, and are fully removable. All presentation mounts are wrapped in durable, protective plastic. See examples of presentation mounts.
Our large vacuum press is able to blockmount and vacuum press items up to 1 100 mm X 1 600 mm. Blockmounts are available with standard white or black surround (and other colours at a small additional
charge), and can be laminated. Laminating posters, maps or photos keeps them clean and protected. Lamination is available in gloss or matte.
So go to your local photo print shop and get those digital photos printed. We'll mount them for everyone to enjoy (they cannot been seen hiding on a digital disc!). When you get tired of the picture, simply bring in a new picture as well as the blockmount, and we will mount a new one on the existing board. Hey presto! A new look for the kids' room! Movie posters are cheaply available from many DVD rental shops, once blockmounted they look fantastic in kids' rooms (our son has many!). See examples of our blockmounts.
We will custom-make mirrors to your specifications: bevelled or unbevelled, plain or ornate, 3mm to 7mm thick glass. A quality mirror makes a bold statement in any room and can enhance a dark room by reflecting more light in. All our mirrors are made using glass a minimum of 3mm thick, ensuring an undistorted reflecting surface (no bending, warping or wavy reflections making you look like a Laurel and Hardy character such as many of the mass produced mirrors available these days from shopping malls). We also stock "Décor" range of mirrors via catalogue. See examples of custom-framed mirrors.
